Gwiazdka: The Game

This game was made for a small competition within Gamedev Students Association (a student club I was part of in the past). The games were supposed to feature the titular Gwiazdka (it means "star" in Polish), which was a "mascot" of the club. The competition was cancelled in the end.

Gwiazdka: The Game plays on a meme that year 2019 was in fact a sequel to year 2018, called 2018-2. It's a little platformer about a star that goes on an adventure,  but as you finish Level 1, you end up in Level 1-2 and the process repeats. As the loop continues, the game becomes more difficult and unsettling. This affects visuals, sound effects and various game screens. The culmination happens at level 20, after which the game no longer changes.

On your adventure you will collect GSA logo collectibles and kill bees. Obtaining 110 collectibles will recover your health, which is very important if you want to survive for many levels. The game also counts your score.
